Changing Lives, One Smile at a Time
I grew up in Lynchburg, Virginia. My wife and I both attended dental school, and were married, in Richmond. The Richmond area is where we love to be, and the only place we wanted to live. We look forward to giving back to the community that has given us so much.
I have wanted to practice orthodontics for as long as I can remember. I even placed myself as an orthodontist in a 7th grade, “Where will you be in 20 years” life-planning exercise. Helping to build the confidence and self-esteem of my patients, simply by giving them a smile they are happy with, is why I am so passionate about orthodontics and my patient interactions.
I love learning about all my patients, their interests, and the incredible activities that they are a part of. I come home every day impressed by all of the cool things that my patients are doing, and love to brag about them to my friends and family! I cannot wait to build relationships with patients, staff, and colleagues in this community and across multiple generations that will last a lifetime. Being a part of the Dominion Orthodontics family is a huge honor.
We strive to provide our patients with the highest level of care possible, while also giving our patients and their families a convenient and enjoyable experience. We understand that you are busy, and your time is valuable, and we are humbled that you choose to spend some of your time with us. Because of this, we will do everything possible to stay on schedule at each appointment, and in total treatment time. We utilize modern techniques to achieve the treatment results we strive for, to increase patient comfort, and to decrease treatment time.
I absolutely love this community, my profession and working at Dominion Orthodontics. I will strive to give you and your family the best experience and treatment possible! Each one of my patients is unique, and I will treat each and every one of you with respect and compassion. Because each patient is unique, I will take the time to listen and develop a treatment plan that is catered to each of you and your needs, and goals for treatment. I will work until I am able to give you a smile, and healthy bite, that you are happy with and proud of, and I will treat you like family!
Education and Continuing Education
I attended the University of Virginia, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology. I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where I graduated with honors. I completed my dream of receiving an orthodontic certificate, by attending the University of Texas at Houston, where I also received my Master of Science in Dentistry.
I believe that in order to be the best clinical and care-provider that I can be, staying up-to-date on orthodontic techniques and technologies is critically important. I strive to complete as much continuing education as possible, be attending local/state/national meetings, study clubs, webinars, and other online courses. I am proud to admit that I just challenged the American Board of Orthodontics clinical exam, to test my skills.

Beyond the Office
I am a Virginian born and bred. I have lived here nearly my entire life, and while I have only lived in Richmond a fraction of the time, it is truly home. My wife and I are total foodies, who love cooking and trying new restaurants. We also love to exercise and be outdoors, especially at the beach. We are huge sports fans, loving to watch and play almost all sports, especially football, basketball, and soccer. My wife and I also are active in our church and local community.
Most importantly, we are very close to our friends, family, and dogs, Sampson and Spruel.
